چکیده

The syn theses of diaquabis (3-hydroxyflavonato) cobalt (II) and bis(pyridine) bis (3hydroxyflavonato)cobalt(II) are described. Results from infrared spectra clearly show that the 3-hydroxyflavonato anion forms a chelate through the 3-hydroxy 4-keto groups. The electronic spectra of both complexes indicate that cobalt(II) has an octahedral geometry. Quantitative analyses of the isolated products gave good agreement with calculated values. Magnetic moment measurements show that both compounds are high spin £ cobalt(II) complexes. The powder diffraction pattern of the pyridine adduct gave almost 1:1 correspondence with tTans-bis (pyridine) bis (3-hydroxyflavonato) nickel (II) which has an octahedral geometry. Therefore, it is highly likely that bis(pyridine)bis(3hydroxyflavonato) cobalt(II) is octahedrally co-ordinated with two chelating 3hydroxyflavonato anions and two pyridine molecules occupying tTans positions.

Synthesis, Spectral Characterization and DFT Calculations of New Co(II) Complexes Derived from Benzimidazoles

The synthesis, characterization and quantum-chemical investigations of two new Co(II) complexesderived from fluorescent benzimidazoles have been reported. Two new fluorescentheterocyclic ligands were synthesized from the reduction of imidazo[4',5':3,4]benzo[1,2-c]isoxazole derivatives, and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, mass, and NMR spectra. Coordination of the bidentate ligands ...

Synthesis and investigation the thermal behavior thermodynamically of new metal Complex of Cobalt nitrate

Increasing the molecular accumulation and density of high-energy substances have a determinative role in improving the performance and intensity of energy release. Therefore, it is possible to increase the density of high-energy materials if the high-energy molecules can be arranged around a metal core as coordinated molecules. The aim of this project was to synthesize energetic complexes of cy...
